Welcome to RAIO TAXI Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("RAIO TAXI," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our mobile application, website, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, booking a ride, or acting as a rider, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies referenced herein. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

RAIO TAXI operates a technology platform that connects passengers seeking transportation with independent third-party riders ("Riders"). We offer various ride types including Bike, Auto, and Cab services. The actual transportation services are provided by the riders themselves, not by RAIO TAXI. We do not employ riders, nor do we own any vehicles. We solely provide a marketplace and technology infrastructure.

3. Eligibility & User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Services.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we suspect a violation of these Terms or any fraudulent activity.

4. Rider-Specific Obligations

If you register as a rider on the platform, you additionally agree to:

  • Provide genuine and valid identification documents, driving licence, vehicle registration certificate (RC), insurance, and any other required permits.
  • Undergo a manual verification process and consent to background checks as permitted by law.
  • Maintain your vehicle in safe and clean condition, adhering to all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
  • Subscribe to an active subscription plan (where applicable) to access ride requests. No per-ride commission is charged under the subscription model; however, the subscription fee is non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
  • Accept rides based on your availability and capacity; you may cancel a ride only under reasonable circumstances, and excessive cancellations may lead to account suspension.

5. Booking & Payment Terms

  • Upfront Fare: The fare for a ride is calculated and displayed before you confirm the booking. This fare is final except in cases of significant route changes, waiting time, or toll charges.
  • Payment Methods: We accept cash, UPI, and QR code payments. Digital payments are processed through secure third-party gateways compliant with PCI DSS standards.
  • Rider Earnings: Riders keep 100% of the fare amount. No hidden commissions are deducted from the fare. The platform fee is covered through the rider's subscription plan.
  • Cancellation & Refund: Passengers may cancel free of charge before the rider starts traveling toward the pickup location. After that, a nominal cancellation fee may apply. Refunds for cancelled rides or payment disputes are handled according to our Refund Policy.

6. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Using the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, or national law.
  • Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against riders or other passengers.
  • Interfering with the operation of the platform, including introducing viruses or malicious code.
  • Circumventing the booking process to arrange rides outside the platform (off-platform transactions) to avoid fees.
  • Posting false, misleading, or defamatory reviews or content.
  • Sharing your account with others or allowing multiple users under a single account (except for "Ride for Others" feature).

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, service marks, logos, software, and technology associated with the Services are the exclusive property of RAIO TAXI or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services or included software.

8. Third-Party Services & Advertisements

Our platform may display advertisements from third parties or integrate with external services (e.g., Google Maps for location). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of such third-party services. Interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. RAIO TAXI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. THE CONDUCT OF RIDERS OR PASSENGERS IS NOT UNDER OUR CONTROL, AND WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAIO TAXI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO RAIO TAXI IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RAIO TAXI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or regulation.

12. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be referred to binding arbitration in accordance with the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted in Pune, Maharashtra, in English. You waive any right to a jury trial or participation in a class action lawsuit.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The courts in Pune, Maharashtra, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matters not subject to arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Services immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms. You may also discontinue using the Services at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases, but provisions related to accrued rights, indemnification, and liability limitations will survive.

16. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and RAIO TAXI regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements.
